Call for Papers

Deadline for Abstracts – Friday 25th January 2019

Working with the conference Steering Committee, we are pleased to announce the key themes for this years’ event are:

– Biological Nutrient Removal

– Phosphorus Recovery

– Emerging Contaminants, Microplastics & Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR)

– Innovation, Optimisation and Process Modelling

– Circular Economy and Resource Recovery

– Networks and Catchments

– Capital Delivery for AMP 7

We encourage papers from early career researchers.  This event provides a great forum to interact with your industry peers, stimulating future collaborations and other opportunities.

As this is a technical conference we encourage papers that share operational experiences.  If you are a technology supplier and would like to be considered for a technical presentation your abstract should include further details such as site specifics and performance data.

Poster Presentations and the EWWM Students and Early Career Poster Award 

Abstracts are welcome from individuals or teams at all career stages, whilst students and early career professionals are eligible for the EWWM Students and Early Career Poster Award.

Poster presentations are a great way to share preliminary ideas / results with an industry audience.  If you are interested in submitting an abstract please follow the instructions below, indicating that you would like to be considered for the Poster Award.

NEW in 2019:  Innovation Pitch

Do you have a new technology that you would like to share with attendees at the conference?   We are offering a limited number of 10-minute speaker slots where you can make your pitch to delegates in the main technical sessions of the conference. Innovation pitches should cover:

– What challenges does your technology solve?

– How has the technology performed to date?

– How did you bring the technology to market; or what is still needed to bring the technology to market?

If you would like to be considered, please follow the abstract submission guidelines below.  Please note that if your topic seems more appropriate for a longer presentation or a panel discussion, you may be contacted by the conference team to discuss your submission.

Deadline for all abstract submissions – Friday 25th January 2019

  • Submitting an Abstract

    Please submit a 200-word abstract that includes the following details to

    • The title of the presentation
    • The key theme(s) covered by the presentation
    • Authors names, and contacts details for the corresponding author
    • An overview of the full presentation

    Please ensure you also confirm which type of presentation you would like to be considered for:

    • Technical Presentation
    • Poster Presentation
    • Innovation Pitch
