Description

Proteus Multiprobe uses innovative fluorescence monitoring techniques alongside more traditional sensors to detect organic matter and related parameters in real-time in aquatic environments. Our use of fluorescence allows the monitoring of parameters previously confined to laboratories or discrete sampling methods. The parameters include Biochemical Oxygen Demand, Total coliforms, E. coli, Total & Dissolved Organic Carbon, and Ammonium. We are driven by the need for data that is more accurate, reliable, and meaningful than what has been available until now. Section 82 represents a step change in monitoring that could be powerful if there is the flexibility to innovate. Fluorescence technology provides a unique insight into pollution dynamics and how the environment can be affected by discharge, whether treated or untreated. The five required parameters are valid but limited; the Proteus multiprobe currently stands as the only multiprobe capable of meeting all the requirements of the act, particularly the two spare sensor ports. We have already participated in a range of trials and projects, each displaying the clear benefits of going beyond the scope of the S82 legislation and the power to use that data to evoke real, positive change in the wastewater industry.
