Southern Water have now implemented online BOD monitoring as part of their PIRP plans for AMP8. The project with Badger Meter not only demonstrated that different technologies could be deployed and provide reliable online BOD measurement vs manometric sampling, but that implementing it is relatively straight forward. This presentation demonstrates how to implement online BOD sensors as part of pollution reduction plan and how this may become common place in FE monitoring in AMP9.
