The assessment is conducted through collected and tested of a total of 15 samples from faecal sludge treatment plants and analysed the effluent following the Department of Environment (DoE) standard. It was shown the pH of minimum, maximum and average ranges 7.2, 8.24 & 7.74 respectively which is meeting the DoE standard (6 to 9). Temperature shown of the minimum, maximum and average ranges-25.9, 31.4 & 27.78 which also is meeting the DoE standard (30 degree C). Total Coliform shown the minimum, maximum and average Ranges- 85, 194 & 139.5 (cfu/100ml) those data are almost with in the DoE standard (1000 cfu/100ml). Faecal Coliform shown the minimum, maximum is 174 & 400 (cfu/100ml). The resulting recommendation could be deployed for FSTP effluent quality enrichment and potential improvement for individual treatment plants. The has also created an opportunity to gain scientific and hands-on knowledge on the technical and operational aspects of effluent of FS treatment in cities in Bangladesh. This study provides a description of an innovative effluent treatment system which improves current FSM practice in city regimes and toward building a resilient city. The generated lessons against tackling the operational challenges of the treatment facilities will provide good learnings for replicating similar practices in another city.
