Showcase your best practice, latest innovation, cutting-edge technology or industry-leading research at Europe’s premier event for wastewater professionals.

Media scrutiny of UK water companies is at an all-time high, with the spotlight constantly falling on CSOs, environmental quality and industry funding models. What this coverage often fails to mention is that the water sector is subject to both economic and environmental regulatory controls, and that difficult choices need to be made.

Meanwhile, the climate and biodiversity crises demand attention and will not await an improved fiscal landscape. As a sector we are innovating, measuring, mitigating, engaging and working together to develop a supply chain capable of meeting these challenges; but can we accelerate this process?

This year’s EWWM conference will as always, focus on practitioners’ experiences and provides a platform to openly debate how we can ‘make it happen’.

We are now inviting abstracts under the following themes:

  • Mitigating Process Emissions & Net Zero
  • The Circular Economy:
    • Technologies for nutrient & material recovery, hydrogen generation
    • Market development & regulation
  • Micropollutants & Emerging Compounds
  • Process Optimisation and Achieving Compliance at Least Cost
  • Innovation
    • Innovative technologies, projects and approaches
    • Mechanisms to accelerate innovation
  • Digitalisation & Open Data
  • Nature Based Solutions
  • CSOs and Dry Spills

Aqua Enviro events are well recognised and respected worldwide. These annual events act as a unique platform to disseminate technological, processes and science advancements in the interface between academia and industry in both water and wastewater areas, which fit perfectly with the scope of the Water and Environmental Journal.

“As a young career professional new to the water industry, this conference was an amazing opportunity to become fully immersed in knowledge chambers and become exposed to so many new topics in the short span of two days. I would recommend this to anyone starting a career within water or sustainability, as it was a great chance to become inspired by the work going on out there. “

Business Partnerships Manager, Lancashire University

“The conference provided good insight into the challenges that wastewater treatments works face, what their goals are, and what is currently important to them. Though many of the topics were not directly related to my research, microplastic pollution, it was worthwhile discussing this topic with people from industry to understand their perspectives.”
